"The delightful literary and artistic world of Beatrix Potter's old rural England finds a natural affinity in Greyton, itself a bit of old England in the Western Cape mountains. The place was built in 1860, as a post office of course, but the corner street entrance is now much more famously recognisable as the door to the Country Pub, another little piece of old English culture. It lies at the centre of the old village with chocolate shops and tearooms nearby, and is set in a lovely rose garden.
Little wonder that people love to get married or honeymoon here. The Beatrix Potter connection is that the rooms are named after characters from her books.""Used with permission from David Bristow!".
The staff are efficient and friendly, the food delicious, the accommodation luxurious and the atmosphere delightful. The Post House offers you a wonderful weekend getaway, a mid week conference facility and an intimate country wedding venue.

The pub has a cosy nook with a large wood burning fire that crackles away in winter and often locals and guests can be found savouring the delicious meals, reading the paper or enjoying a game of back gammon.
